3. Sleeper bus from Danang/ Hue to Xeno - Pakse, Laos

There's another way to get to Pakse from Da Nang and Hue by sleeper bus, but it's longer and more expensive. (This applies if you haven't obtained a Lao visa yet and want to apply for one at the Lao Bao border crossing, and if the minivan going directly to Pakse is full or doesn't depart on your requested date.)
The itinerary is as follows:
Book a bus to Xeno bus station via the Lao Bao border crossing:
- Departure at 8:00 AM from Da Nang = 1.100.000 VND
- Departure at 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM from Hue = 950.000 VND
Arrive at Xeno bus station around 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Then take a sleeper bus from Xeno bus station to Pakse = 350.000 Kip - 450.000 kip. Many buses departing from Vientiane will stop at Xeno bus station for a short break before going to Pakse. It's easy to catch a bus - the important thing is that sleeper buses from Vientiane to Xeno have few early departures but many late ones. You will usually arrive in Pakse around 4:00 AM the next day.
