B. Pick-up and departure schedule from Hanoi, Vietnam to Vientiane, Laos.

1. Pick up at hotels/motels in Hanoi Old Quarter area from 3.00pm - 3.20pm. Pick up at Lao embassy at 3.30pm. (We pick you up early to avoid traffic jams that affect your schedule)

2. Mr. Hung who pick you up – We will provide a photo of Mr. Hung so you can easily recognize him.

He will arrange a mini bus/taxi to take you to Nuoc Ngam bus station. (About 5-7km).

At the bus station, the staff will give you tickets to check in and board the bus.

3. Ticket price: 800,000 VND/person (pay to Mr. Hung - who picks you up)

4. Bus type: Single bed with toilet (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) or VIP cabin without toilet (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday)

5. Bus departure time: 5.45pm - 6.00pm day 1

6. The bus arrives at Cau Treo border gate at 3AM day 2 – Every body still sleep on the bus until 7AM then preparing to exit Vietnam and enter Laos.

7. For nationalities that are not eligible for Laos Visa Free, you are required to have a Laos Visa. To get a Laos Visa, you need to go to the Laos embassy - Address 40 Quang Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. You should come there in the morning before 11.00am. You will receive Laos Visa at 3.00pm the same day. The Lao Embassy is closed Saturday and Sunday. (Nam Phao border gate of Laos does not accept Lao Visa on arrival (VOA) and Lao evisa. Therefore, you need to go to the Laos embassy to apply for a visa before departure)

8. The bus arrivals in Vientiane capital, Laos is about 5.00pm - 6.00pm day 2 ( 24 hours)

9. On the way, the bus stops at Vietnamese/Laotian restaurants for you to have dinner and lunch. (All meals are not included in the ticket price)

10. Almost all buses have broken wifi.

11. You can buy a Lao sim or exchange money at Cau Treo border gate.

C. Fees at the border?

You need to pay attention to the mandatory fees at the border gate to avoid wasting a lot of time: Exiting Vietnam, you will have to pay a fee of about 2 USD + Entering Laos, you will also have to pay a fee of 2 USD. The total amount you need is at least 4 USD = 100,000 VND
