How to do it
Via electronic visa web portal or the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security
Sequence of execution
Step 1: Foreigners access the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security (domain name in Vietnamese: https://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn, in English https://e-services.mps.gov.vn) to fill in information on electronic visa application, upload portrait photo and passport bio-data page. After this step, foreigners will be provided with an electronic dossier code by the system.
Step 2: Pay visa fee to the account on the electronic visa web portal or the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security after receiving the electronic dossier code from the immigration authority.
Step 3: Get results
Foreigners applying for electronic visa can use the electronic dossier code to check the status on electronic visa web portal, in case of being granted electronic visa, use the electronic dossier code to check and print electronic visa.
Working time: 24 hours / 07 days.
Resolution deadline
Within 03 working days from the date of receiving application for electronic visa and visa fee

- US$ 25/single-entry electronic visa
- US$ 50/multiple-entry electronic visa
Application compostion
+ Information about applying for an electronic visa (NA1a) is posted on the electronic visa web portal.
+ Portrait photo 4cm x 6cm; photo of passport biodata page is uploaded to the electronic visa web portal in accordance with regulations.
Requirement - condition
+ Foreigners have passports and do not fall into the cases of not allowed to enter the country as prescribed in Article 21 of the Law on Foreigners entry into, exit from, transit through and residence in Vietnam.
+ Foreigners who are citizens of countries on the list of pilot e-visa issuance in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnamese Government.

+ Circular No. 25/2021/TT-BTC dated April 7, 2021 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the collection, payment, management and use of fees and charges in the field of exit, entry, transit and residence in Vietnam.
